Sessions ("we", "us") builds a skateboarding app for logging sessions, tracking tricks, and sharing progress. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work — we don't sell your data and we don't run ads.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account: your email address (used for sign-in via one-time code).
- Profile: display name, username, stance, skating level, bio, and optional avatar.
- Content: sessions, trick logs, notes, photos and video clips you upload, comments, and reactions.
- Circles: private groups you create or join and the content you share in them.
Information collected automatically
- Location: if you grant permission, your device location is used to auto-fill your skate spot. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device settings.
- Usage & device data: basic app-open events, app version, and platform, used to keep the app reliable.
Wallet
On signup we provision an embedded blockchain wallet (on the Base network) for future badges and rewards. We store the wallet's public address. It holds no real-world value and is not exposed in the app today.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the app — saving your sessions, showing feeds, and powering Circles.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To send service communications (such as your sign-in code).
- To diagnose problems and improve performance.
How your content is shared
Your content defaults to private. You choose when to share a session or clip to a Circle or to the public feed. Public posts are visible to other users; private and Circle content is not. We never make your content public on your behalf.
Service providers
We share limited data with providers that help us run the app:
- Cloud hosting and database (to store your account and content)
- Object storage / CDN (to store and serve your photos and clips)
- Email delivery (to send sign-in codes)
- Wallet infrastructure (to provision your embedded wallet)
- Privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics
These providers process data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your personal data. See our account deletion page for details. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email support@getsessions.io.
Children
Sessions is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
